The court approved minutes of the previous meeting, payment of bills related to Clay County Memorial Hospital, the hospital payroll and county payroll, and departmental and treasurer reports. The court also acknowledged continuation certificates from Merchants Bonding Company for Deputy Treasurer Danielle Moore and County Elections Administrator Vowel McLean. For each routine approval the presiding judge said, “Seeing no objection, it is approved 5-0.”
In other administrative business the court approved switching to a new COBRA administrator under TAC’s program effective at the county’s renewal date, accepted certification of $500 in additional revenue from H2 Fast Line Excavation to be placed in the Precinct 4 road materials budget line, and approved the final plat for Lot 1, Corner Post RV Park (see separate article on the plat). The court also approved change order number 2 on the courthouse renovation contract, which reduced the electrical alternate in the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) (see separate article on the renovation change order).
