Commission recommends codifying subdivision review fees into county ordinance; forwards to Board

The Washington County Planning Commission voted to recommend that the Board of Supervisors amend county code section 52-24 to include established plat and plan review fees for divisions and subdivisions.
Planning staff said the fees have been charged under a 2005 Board resolution since the county updated its subdivision ordinance, but a recent change in state law requires the fees be encoded explicitly in the county ordinance. Staff said the recommendation does not change fees or create new charges; it merely places the existing fee schedule in the code so the county's administration conforms with state statutory requirements.
The commission opened and closed a public hearing with no speakers and voted unanimously to forward the ordinance recodification to the Board of Supervisors with a favorable recommendation.
