Pulaski County Fiscal Court voted to approve a one-year agreement for Happy Camper RV Park to offer pontoon rentals at Pulaski Park for the 2025 calendar year, with the contract requiring subsequent approval by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
County counsel explained the contract terms: Happy Camper will pay $5,000 at execution. By Jan. 31 following the season the company will provide an accounting of gross proceeds; if 10% of gross proceeds exceeds $5,000, the vendor will pay the county the amount over the initial $5,000. The contractor must carry insurance and assume responsibility for taxes and licenses; the county retains the right to cancel the agreement with written notice. The county attorney noted that the Corps of Engineers must also approve the arrangement before it takes effect.
A member of the court asked about liability coverage; the attorney confirmed the vendor’s liability limit is $1,000,000 and provided an unsigned agreement and insurance proof to the court. The motion to approve the agreement passed on a voice vote.
