Elections administrator previews May 3 special elections; county wins League of Women Voters website rating

Hudson said three entities will hold elections on Saturday, May 3: the City of Hallettsville (city contest), Shiner ISD and Moulton ISD (school district contests). She said early voting will be held at the courthouse annex from Tuesday, April 22 through Friday, April 25 and additional early‑voting dates the following week; daily early‑voting hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hudson advised that registered voters should verify whether they live in the relevant district before voting at a particular precinct and said sample ballots and district information are available on the Lavaca County Elections website and the office’s Facebook page.
Hudson also told the court the Lavaca County elections webpage was rated “outstanding” by the League of Women Voters of Texas after improvements by elections staff. She credited Brandy Stuckey and Naelene (spelled 'Nelene' in the meeting) Rupert for updating the site; Hudson said the site score rose from a previous score to 96% and the site earned the outstanding rating.
