The Pike County Fiscal Court voted to authorize payment of $3,500 to help complete installation of lights at the Dorton Park softball field.
County staff told the court the Pike County Board of Education had provided light poles and would perform the installation, and that $3,500 in grant funds were available. The Board of Education and the school doing the installation each committed $3,500, and the fiscal court was asked to authorize a matching $3,500 payment and the treasurer’s issuance of that payment.
Commissioner Adkins made the motion to authorize the payment; Commissioner Lewis seconded. The roll call recorded Commissioner Scott, Commissioner Atkins and Commissioner Lewis voting yes; Judge Jones also recorded a yes vote.
The court recorded no further discussion on the item before the roll call.
