Staff requested funding for supplies and refreshments. They asked the commission for $3,000 to cover trash bags, gloves, hand wipes, bottled water and other supplies and for $1,000 to buy flowers and planters for participating communities. Staff said Western Choice donated cases of water and community partners would provide in-kind support for hauling and disposal in many locations.
Commissioners approved the request. Several commissioners and staff encouraged all commissioners and community officials to participate in cleanup events; the commission asked staff to continue outreach to city partners and to coordinate logistics for trash collection and disposal at local haulers and roll-off locations.
