Williams County commissioners approved personnel actions and several board appointments, including reappointments to the Vector Board and a representative to the Missouri River Advisory Council.
Staff asked for permission to fill four positions: two positions at the adolescent care center, one telecommunicator at dispatch, and a staff accountant vacancy in finance. The commission voted to approve filling the positions. Staff also described ongoing seasonal hiring for parks, vector, weed, and the water board and said an engineering intern will be added for the summer.
On boards and advisory appointments, the commission reappointed Charles (Chuck) Wilder to Seat 3 (term 05/05/2025–05/04/2027) and George Peterson to Seat 5 (term 05/05/2025–05/04/2030) on the Vector Board; both were approved when the commission noted there were no other applicants for those seats. The commission also appointed Jeremy Ledlam as the county representative to the Missouri River Advisory Council and named Lindsay Harriman as the alternate.
All motions were approved by roll-call votes. Staff asked commissioners to encourage residents to apply for remaining vacancies on the Vector Board.
