Staff said the agreement, executed in November 2023, allowed the club to use the unused campus for monthly meetings and recreational programs under a monthly fee schedule. The presenter said the club's president, Mr. Kenneth Gate, informed the district a few months ago that the club would no longer need the facility. The club removed furniture and equipment, and district staff are performing an interior and exterior cleanup and reallocating usable resources, technology and furniture to other campuses.
District staff characterized the work as preparing Carrie Martin Elementary "for whatever the future looks like for that campus," and invited questions; none were recorded.
