Dorchester District 2 approves organizational chart updates, new content and technology specialist roles; personnel motions pass

The Dorchester District 2 Board of Trustees on March 31 approved a package of organizational-chart changes and personnel actions that reclassify several professional-development roles into curriculum content specialists, create six instructional-technology positions, and establish an MTSS coordinator role. Staff said 7.5 positions had been paid from the general fund previously and the current plan would add six positions to the general fund; the district said it will post the updated job descriptions and allow internal applicants to apply.

Personnel actions and compensation During the meeting the board approved Fort Dorchester Elementary School personnel recommendations as presented (motion passed 7–0). After returning from executive session trustees also authorized the board chair to send a letter to Chad Doherty confirming terms of his interim assignment, including a monthly supplement of $1,250 and a monthly automobile allowance of $1,000 for in-district travel; that motion passed with a 7–0 vote.
