Walworth County’s Zoning Committee approved a conditional-use permit March 20 allowing Premier Lakeside Storage LLC to expand an existing planned unit development for expanded storage, office and retail space.
County planner Kate said the application requests expansion greater than 25% of the planned unit development to add office space, retail and indoor storage of off-season merchandise. The properties involved are in the southwest quarter township area and are zoned B-2 general business; staff recommended approval per the submitted plans with specific conditions.
Recommended conditions include that hours of day-to-day management be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m., while renter access to storage units would be 24-hour access. Specific condition 28 requires that the conditional-use permit is not valid until all lots are combined and any unnecessary easements are released.
Applicant Kurt Seminess participated by phone and said he had no additional information to add. The town response had been received in favor. Committee member Dennis Karbowski moved to approve; the motion was seconded by Bud Wojcik and carried by voice vote.
