The Walworth County Zoning Committee approved a conditional-use review on March 20 to allow an agricultural building on a farm-separation remnant parcel owned by Michael (Mike) Krismer in Richmond Township.
County staff described the parcel (tax parcel CR 22-4) as zoned A-1 prime agricultural and C-1 wetland. The application requested approval to place an agricultural building to store personal agricultural equipment; recommended conditions on the staff report noted approval per the submitted plan.
Applicant Mike Krismer said he recently retired, plans to farm the 45-acre parcel himself as a “gentleman farmer,” and intends to use a steel building for equipment storage with no plumbing. He told the committee he will meet setback requirements and use the building for equipment and possible small repairs.
A motion to approve the conditional-use review carried by voice vote; committee members directing staff to record the approval and conditions in the file.
