The Walworth County Board Executive Committee approved Alpine Valley Music Theater’s 2025 business plan, concert license application and camping operational plan on March 17, saying outstanding mapping details could be provided separately.
Committee Chair Sue Pruseng opened the discussion on the unfinished business item and committee members reviewed a packet of materials. An applicant representative told the committee that all requested adjustments had been addressed except for one outstanding map of sign locations that the applicant’s creative team would provide later.
County staff recommended approving the plan as written and said the map could be incorporated later into the licensing paperwork. The committee discussed a previously requested concession that would allow concerts held on Friday, Saturday or Sunday to extend performances to 12:30 a.m. only in weather-related emergencies. Committee members noted the requested extension had been narrowed from a broader “unforeseen events” category to strictly weather events and that Monday–Thursday operations were limited to an earlier cutoff.
After committee discussion, a member moved to approve the business plan and license; that motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote.
The committee record shows the applicant will supply the sign-location map after approval and staff will incorporate it into the license file. No amendment to the license was made at the meeting.
The item concluded with the committee approving the application and moving to the next agenda item.
