The North Ogden City Planning Commission on Feb. 11 appointed a chair and vice chair and approved its Jan. 15, 2025, meeting minutes, actions the body took before hearing legislative and development items.
Commissioners unanimously appointed Commissioner Nancarrow as chair and Commissioner Green as vice chair after nominations and votes taken at the start of the meeting. The commission then approved the Jan. 15 meeting minutes without amendment.
The commission chair read the public comment rules for the meeting, noting comments are limited to five minutes, that display materials become part of the public record, and that speakers must sign in and state their name and city before addressing the commission. The chair also asked for any ex parte contacts or conflicts of interest; none were declared for items on the agenda.
The appointments followed short introductions of two newly seated commissioners, Lauren Gardner and Steve Naber, who each described their backgrounds during the meeting’s opening remarks.
The commission’s ordering of officers and confirmation of minutes are procedural actions that set the body’s leadership and record-keeping for forthcoming deliberations.
The commission proceeded to its advertised agenda, opening a public hearing on a legislative rezone later in the evening.
