Council appoints Lauren Gardner, Steve Naber to Planning Commission

The mayor said Gardner previously served as a city engineer for several years and is familiar with the city; he said Naber is the chief financial officer at Weber State University and expressed interest in serving the city. After an opportunity for questions, a council member moved to appoint both candidates and the motion received a second; the council voted aye and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
The council said it will recognize the two outgoing planning commissioners at a future meeting for their service. No ballots or roll-call record were taken for these appointments; the council confirmed the two appointees by unanimous voice vote.
