McPherson County commissioners approved personnel changes in the county appraiser’s office and briefly entered executive session to discuss non‑elected personnel at their March 31 meeting.
Stacy Hubbard, McPherson County appraiser, presented a personnel change notice to hire Rescinda Christiansen as a field appraiser in training with an effective date of March 31, 2025. Commissioners approved the PCN and the motion carried.
Hubbard then asked the commission to enter executive session to discuss non‑elected personnel. After a 10‑minute executive session that included the appraiser and County Administrator Rick Whitty, Hubbard returned to request two additional personnel actions:
• Increase Tiffany Blake from 24 to 30 hours per week, effective March 31, 2025; the board approved the change.
• Move Cindy Justice from Land and Mineral Appraiser to Deed Record Specialist II and change her pay grade from 12I to 14I, effective March 31, 2025; the board approved the PCN as presented.
All motions related to the appraiser office passed with commissioners voting “aye.” Hubbard confirmed the hires and changes were internal office staffing adjustments and the appraiser’s office will implement the changes immediately.
Ending: Commissioners recessed to conduct job interviews later in the day.
