Gaming regulators extend merger timeline for Sega Sammy’s acquisition of GAN; Game Stack field trial still unresolved

Separately, board members discussed the ongoing field trial of GAN’s Game Stack — a platform intended to provide retail and mobile gaming services — and heard from Nevada Gaming Control Board technology division staff and vendor representatives about outstanding test items. GLI, the independent laboratory conducting certification work, asked for more time to complete its audit portion; board staff said GLI requested up to two additional weeks to finish, and that the lab had identified items to research further in the testing environment.
Technology division staff said the field trial showed strong retail and mobile performance at two locations (Boulder Station and Wildfire Boulder), but that the trial is technically complex and has required extended oversight. NVGCB technology agent Mayra Frey told the board the vendor has been responsive and that staff were working with trial locations to verify whether laboratory findings affected the field deployments.
