Roberts also mentioned spring activities and athletics as teams move into playoffs. He said the board is monitoring how changes at the U.S. Department of Education may affect the district.
Linda Daugherty discussed the legislative session and a recent trip that board members and administrators took to the state capitol to meet elected officials and track bills affecting education funding and policy. The district said board members are reviewing funding and other education bills and their potential impact on Nixa Public Schools.
To close the meeting, board members reviewed the district's strategic plan, the homeless program and the English language department; the meeting then adjourned.
