Saratoga County supervisors approve package of routine resolutions, amend 2025 budget for several grants and projects

The Saratoga County Board of Supervisors on April 15 adopted a package of routine resolutions (Nos. 86–116) covering grant acceptances, budget amendments and contract authorizations for county projects.
The board voted to adopt the bundle after a motion by Supervisor Ball and a second from Supervisor Murray. The roll call on the consolidated motion resulted in approval; the chair announced the motion passed.
Notable items the board approved included setting a public hearing for a proposed restaurant lease at the Saratoga County Airport (Res. 86); proclamations declaring May 2025 as Mental Health Month and Older Americans Month (Res. 87–88); acceptance of adoption and legal guardianship incentive funds from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and an amendment to the 2025 county budget to accept those funds (Res. 89); and a drinking water enhancement grant from the New York State Department of Health, which will increase fund balance by $152,335 (Res. 90).
Public Works resolutions approved funding and professional services for the Riverview Road culvert replacement project in the Town of Clifton Park and related consultant agreements (Res. 91–92). The board also amended a contract and the budget for a biannual update to the county’s solid waste management plan (Res. 93) and authorized several engineering and construction agreements for sewer-district upgrades, pump-station work and rehabilitation projects (Res. 109–114). Several insurance- and budget-related items were approved, including a pollution liability policy and renewal of county insurance coverages with related budget adjustments (Res. 94–95).
Other budget adjustments approved included acceptance of a Public Safety Answering Points grant and an increase to fund balance by $37,203.28 (Res. 100), and transfers from economic development and trails reserves to support local projects ($33,643.77 and $20,000 respectively; Res. 103–104). The board also authorized agreements to purchase solar energy credits and to reallocate Microsoft 365 license funds (Res. 105–108).
Several proclamations honoring public-safety workers were included in the adopted package; the board later invited representatives of the sheriff’s office and the corrections facility forward to accept recognition for Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and National Correctional Officers and Employees Week.
The board had set aside Resolution 117 for a separate roll call (requesting the New York State Liquor Authority to restrict hours of alcohol sales); that item was taken up and voted on separately.
