Butler County commissioners approve finance appropriations, appointments and contracts; unanimous votes

Butler County commissioners voted unanimously on April 15 to approve minutes, a set of finance resolutions, department organizational changes and multiple contracts and capital items, according to motions and roll-call votes recorded in the meeting.

The board approved two motions to adopt minutes from the prior regular and work-session meetings; both were adopted by voice roll call with Commissioner Carpenter, Commissioner Rogers and Commissioner Dixon each voting yes.

Key financial actions approved included the following (motions and roll-call votes were unanimous unless noted):

- Appropriations and transfers: Agenda item 21,152 included no budget transfers but several appropriations: $59,000 to commissioners administration for an insurance premium, a $1,000,000 appropriation from the grant account to the Butler County Finance Authority job-and-development fund (intended to replace future annual operating allocations per a revised MOU discussed April 1), and a series of smaller appropriations for juvenile rehabilitation, probation and other court-related services.
