Glens Falls submits 2025 MS4 interim progress certification; staff seeks county collaboration

Joanne and Jeremy led the submission, staff said, and Nick Grama of Warren County Soil and Water provided technical assistance and sampling data for outfalls. Staff described a potential collaborative approach in which the county compiles data from multiple municipalities into a single reporting entity — an approach the county has used for neighboring Queensbury and Lake George.
Staff cautioned that 2025 was the initial year of the restructured reporting system and that the city expects follow-up questions from regulators. They said the county has the technology and existing sampling work that could streamline future submissions if the city elects to participate.
The board acknowledged the work and thanked staff and the county representative for assistance. No formal action on MS4 governance or contracting took place at the meeting.
