Good evening. The Yarmouth Finance Committee opened a four-part public hearing on the town's operating budget and capital improvement plan (CIP), saying the proposed FY2026 budget is balanced while outlining major cost drivers and capital projects.
Finance Committee Chair Richard Simon led the discussion and said the document he and the committee reviewed meets charter and state requirements and that the committee's review will inform Town Meeting voters. "Yarmouth's proposed budget for the fiscal year 2026 is balanced and its financial affairs are being very well managed by the town officials," Simon said. He summarized three overarching priorities that guided the committee's review: financial stability, workforce development and infrastructure.
