The Town of Yarmouth Planning Board on April 2 heard a staff update on the town's Local Comprehensive Plan (LCP) and on a $100,000 Community Planning Grant intended to study mixed‑use redevelopment along Route 28.
Kathy Williams, town planner, told the board that she and consultant Jeff Bagg of BSC Group met with staff from the Cape Cod Commission and “got a generally favorable review” of the work to date. Williams said the commission flagged the capital improvements chapter and asked for more specificity in the targeted action plan — for example, listing the actual steps, responsible parties and time frames for high‑priority projects. “I think we're on track for certification, with the Cape Cod Commission, subsequent to hopefully an approval at the fall special town meeting on our local comprehensive plan,” Williams said.
