The board reviewed the district's monthly financial report for February, in which district staff reported total revenues of approximately $431,000,000 and total expenses of about $302,000,000 through the month.
The presentation reported an overall fund balance of roughly $129,000,000 and detailed that funds 1 through 7000 show revenue of about $372.7 million and expenses of $466.8 million in a particular slide breakdown; staff said net increase in fund balance was $255,900,000 (presentation numbers provided by district finance staff). The investment schedule showed increased investment activity of approximately $4,300,000 for the year.
The balance sheet shown to the board listed assets of about $130,200,000 and liabilities of about $9,100,000. Staff also reported a safety tax budget of $18,600,000 with $10,700,000 spent to date and approximately 58 percent of that budget spent.
Staff asked board members to submit any follow-up questions by email. The board accepted the treasurer's report by voice vote, 4-0.
