Frenship ISD board approves hiring of more than a dozen coaches, trainers for new Memorial High School

The Frenship ISD Board of Trustees voted to accept personnel recommendations to staff Memorial High School with more than a dozen lead and head coaches, an athletic trainer and other hires, the board announced at its meeting.
The hiring recommendations were presented by Tiffany Taylor and Memorial Principal Chelsea Campbell and were approved after a motion by Trustee Kyle Rogers and a second by Trustee Jamie Phillips. Chair Martin called for voices in favor; the motion was voiced and the chair said, “Motion carries.”
The hires introduced at the meeting included Tim Allgate as lead choir director for Memorial High School; Callie Wilson as head dance and pom coach; Ryan Pjanzic as lead agriculture teacher; Brandon Roberson as head baseball coach; Erin Simon as head powerlifting coach; Nick Cortis as head cross country coach; Shannon Lindsey as head cheer coach; Greg Andes as head girls' golf coach; and Kimber Rogers as head athletic trainer. Memorial Principal Chelsea Campbell introduced the slate and described the program alignments with feeder campuses Heritage and Terra Vista.
Tim Allgate, introduced as Memorial's lead choir director, said, “I'm just thrilled to be joining, the Friendship Team. Friendship High School has had just that, storied legacy of choral excellence. It's just so exciting to be, continuing that at a new campus with a brand new facility and with a phenomenal fine arts team at, Heritage and Terra Vista feeding into Memorial High School. So very excited to be here. Thank you.”
Ryan Pjanzic told the board he has submitted paperwork to charter a new FFA program for Memorial and expected the process to begin this fall, saying, “hopefully by February, we'll have memorial we'll have their official charter from the Texas FFA and the National FFA Association.”
Brandon Roberson and other coaches offered brief remarks of thanks and described family and community support; several introduced family members in the audience. Athletic trainer Kimber Rogers, introduced after 16 years at Friendship High School, said she was “happy to be here” and “really excited to continue my journey in the Friendship family at Memorial.”
Following the recognitions, the board moved to the formal business item: “consideration of personnel recommendations from missus Ronda.” Trustee Kyle Rogers moved to accept the recommendations, Jamie Phillips seconded, the chair called for further discussion, and then asked for votes. The chair recorded the outcome as: “All in favor, say aye. Aye. Opposed, same sign. Motion carries.”
The approvals finalize staffing for Memorial High School's initial instructional and extracurricular programs as presented; the district did not enumerate individual contract lengths, salary amounts, or an exhaustive list of all hires in the public discussion. The board adjourned shortly after the motion passed.
