Tammy, a district staff member leading the TIA effort, told trustees the district has convened a working team and held teacher information sessions as it prepares an application. "We have a district team working on the teacher incentive allotment application and we have our district education committee members assisting with that," Tammy said, adding that the district has scheduled additional sessions for staff input.
Why it matters: TIA directs state funding to districts to increase teacher pay. The district said recent draft legislation and activity among neighboring districts make now the right time to reexamine participation; several nearby districts have submitted applications or begun payouts.…
