Council adopts zoning change ordinance 1092 converting several Highway 114 parcels to B‑2 business

The Levelland City Council approved Ordinance No. 1092 on second reading to change the zoning designation of multiple parcels along East Highway 114 from Industrial to B‑2 (general business) district.
City staff and the city attorney read the ordinance on the record. The ordinance amends the city—s zoning map and code by replacing industrial zoning with B‑2 general business for a list of addresses including 513, 515, 601, 701, 703, 707, 1303, 1305 and 1307 East Highway 114. The change was brought by the city to increase flexibility for future development and followed the recommendation of the planning and zoning commission after required public notice.
On a motion and second, the council called the vote on second reading and the motion carried.
Ending: The zoning map will be amended in the city code in accordance with the ordinance language.
