Santa Fe EDC reopens director search, closes coordinator search after executive session

After an executive session on Jan. 28, the Santa Fe Economic Development Corporation voted to close the ongoing search for a coordinator position and to reopen recruitment for a director position for a two-week period.
Board members returned from executive session and moved the motion to reopen the director position. The board then conducted a roll call: Gary Somerville, Ronnie McCamming, Terry O'Connell, Paul Wiley, Pam Schwartner and Johnny Helpenstell each recorded a vote of yes; Matt Crabill was absent. The motion carried.
Board statements at the time described the decision as difficult but necessary; staff said they would move forward with the revised hiring timeline and notify applicants of the change in recruitment focus.
Staff indicated they would proceed with the director recruitment over the next two weeks and close the coordinator posting as discussed in executive session.
