Santa Fe EDC hears December permits, Mulberry Farms and other development projects

At the Jan. 28 meeting the Santa Fe Economic Development Corporation received the community services report showing 472 permits issued in December 2024, including 309 permits for new residential construction and $54,912 in collected permit fees.
Rudy O'Neil told the board that inspections, subdivisions and major projects are listed in the staff report. Project updates included an RV park with interior-road concrete work under way; Mulberry Farms gas station and shopping-center civil plans under review; approval for a Kiwi car build-out permit; a sandwich shop (reported in the meeting as “Bad Andy’s”) under review in the shopping center that also contains Cici’s Pizza; CenterPoint Service Center civil plans under review; CSV expansion plans under review; and Mulberry Farm Section 2 noted as recently approved.
Board members asked informal questions and traded local observations about businesses and building openings; staff did not present additional land-use approvals or policy changes at this meeting.
Board members accepted the report and moved on to other agenda items.
