The motion to move the item to the floor was made by Supervisor Drazic and seconded by Supervisor Thomas. County counsel present said there was no legal objection to approving a one-year renewal and to continuing an annual-renewal approach.
Committee members asked about the lease term and its renewal mechanism; staff clarified the intent to continue yearly renewals unless the county decides to change the agreement. No changes to rent or other material terms were noted in the materials presented to the committee.
