Board approves consent agenda and monitoring reports; finds district in compliance on several items

The University Place School District Board of Directors approved the consent agenda as amended to include a personnel item (item 6.31) added since agenda setting, and later voted to find the district in compliance on several monitoring reports.

The board approved adding item 6.31 to the consent agenda and then approved the consent agenda by voice vote. A board member noted the personnel item had been added in the addendum since agenda setting; the board president called for the vote and members answered "Aye." On monitoring reports, the board voted as follows:

- EL-2 (Response to Complaints): The board found the district in compliance with two comments; the board amended the report language so that the response to complaints reads: "Response to complaints is professional, consistent, timely, and thorough." The board voted to approve that finding by voice vote.

- EL-7 (Community Facilities Advisory Committee): The board found the district in compliance with one comment. The superintendent reported that the district has activated a community facility advisory committee to aid in planning and recommend future facility needs.

- GP-9 (Board Members Code of Conduct): The board found GP-9 in compliance with two comments and approved the finding by voice vote.

All three monitoring items and the consent agenda were passed by voice vote with no recorded roll-call tallies during the meeting. Where specific movers or seconders were not identified in the public audio, the meeting record shows motions were moved and seconded and carried as announced by the chair.
