Staff summarize aid-to-agencies reporting; consolidated-plan recommendation expected in April

Neighborhood Services staff updated the Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) on reporting from agencies that receive city funding through the aid-to-agencies program and on the schedule for the commission's recommendations to City Council.

Sam, Neighborhood Services staff, said legacy aid-to-agencies recipients submit quarterly reports through the United Way portal and that staff summarized those metrics in a table for commissioners. "Legacy agencies submit quarterly reports in the United Way portal, and I pulled the data from those reports and kind of summarized it in a table," Sam said. Non-legacy agencies submit a paper form twice a year; staff consolidated both sources into a single packet to make review easier for commissioners.

The packet also included a direct update from Escucha Mevoz, identified in staff materials as a recent non-legacy fund recipient. Sam told the commission that a third set of recommendations still needs to go to City Council and that staff expect to present those recommendations to council in April. "We have not. We need to take a third set of recommendations to city council. Like, we think that'll be in April," Sam said.

Commissioners said the spreadsheet summary was helpful. The staff update was procedural: it described reporting mechanisms and the timing of the commission's next formal recommendation to council; it did not record any vote or policy change. Staff said they will forward the council packet and notify both commissioners and applicants when the recommendation goes to City Council.
