Council approves CAPER submission to HUD and sells 406 Randall to Habitat with $5,000 infill grant

Separately the council approved a package of actions on a city-owned lot at 406 Randall Street in the Church Road neighborhood: the council authorized sale and conveyance of the property to Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity for $1 and approved a development agreement that includes a $5,000 grant to support infill housing development and construction of a single-family home at that address. The mayor and city clerk were authorized to execute the necessary documents.
Council recorded unanimous roll-call votes on both measures.
