The Ohio Senate Transportation Committee on a unanimous voice/roll call approved three gubernatorial appointments to motor-vehicle oversight boards and forwarded the package to the Committee on Rules and Reference.
The appointments approved were Robert Heuser and Christopher Heydosi to the Motor Vehicle Dealers Board and Bradley Bales to the Board of Motor Vehicles Repair. Vice Chair Schafer moved to approve the three appointments “as a group and send them to the Committee on Rules and Reference.”
Chair Patton called for questions and, after none were raised, the clerk recorded the roll call votes in which Chair Patton, Vice Chair Schafer, Ranking Member Antonio, Senator Chavez, Senator Reineke, Senator Smith and Senator Timken all voted yes. The appointments will now proceed to the Committee on Rules and Reference for further consideration.
No additional information on the appointees’ professional backgrounds or the committees’ timelines for final confirmation was provided during the meeting. The committee did not take further action beyond forwarding the nominations.
