The commission also heard a retirement/transition policy: candidates who take the current version of listed Praxis assessments on or before Aug. 30, 2025 will have two years to use that score in a licensure application, and the new versions will be required beginning Sept. 1, 2025. Dr. Murphy told the commission that candidates who do not use the old score within the two‑year window will be required to take the new version.
