At the March 3 meeting, the Village of Paramount Board of Trustees opened the scheduled public hearing segment but carried the hearing to April 7 at 5 p.m. while the board awaits a referral response from the county planning department.
A village official told the board, "we have a referral to the county planning, and so we're we have to wait for that response anyway." The board moved to open the public hearing and then made a separate motion to carry it. When asked about the next date, a trustee stated, "April 7, I believe, at 5PM. April. Or soon thereafter, it can be heard." A motion to carry was seconded and the board voted by voice: "All in favor? Aye."
No substantive testimony was heard on the hearing item at the March 3 meeting and no final decision on the underlying subject was taken. The trustees said the matter will return to a future meeting after county planning responds to the referral.
