• Approval of Belhaven University initial-level educator preparation programs as recommended from state program review and national accreditation decisions — Motion to approve; carried by voice vote.
• Approval of William Carey University initial-level educator preparation programs — Motion to approve; carried by voice vote.
• Ratification of agreed orders/voluntary surrenders presented by the Office of Educator Misconduct Evaluations: - Samuel Coleman (license #322139): Agreed order found violation of Standard 10 (breach of contract) dated about 10/31/2024; license to be relinquished, suspended or surrendered from ratification through 06/30/2025; eligible to petition for reinstatement after suspension without a hearing on satisfactory showing per order text. - John Walton (license #170911): Agreed order found violation of Standard 4 (educator–student relations) during 2024–25 school year; license placed on probation for one calendar year from ratification; failure to comply or new allegations may result in automatic suspension for one year with petition for reinstatement available after suspension per order text. The commission voted to ratify these agreed orders; motions carried by voice vote.
• Continuance of hearing in the matter of Mark Calhoun (license #123890) — The Office of Educator Misconduct Evaluations requested a continuance due to hazardous weather; the respondent agreed. The commission approved continuance to Feb. 5, 2025; motion carried by voice vote.
• Adjournment at 10:36 a.m.
