County approves series of lakeshore permits with standard environmental conditions

Approved permits included an extension for Swenson (FLP‑2222‑107) to maintain staging and concrete ramps while home construction continues; a permit for Shelter Valley Holdings (FLP‑25‑19) to restack existing riprap using heavy machinery during low pool; a Bruner permit (FLP‑25‑15) on Echo Lake to complete a retaining wall; a Van Alstyne permit (FLP‑25‑18) for decking repairs in a configured boat slip; a grouped permit for 19 of 20 North Bitterroot lakefront owners (FLP‑24‑80) to excavate washed‑in gravel and ice berms during low pool; and a Gillespie permit (FLP‑25‑07) to install stone stairs, reinforce a retaining wall and revegetate lakeward areas with native grasses.
Staff emphasized permit conditions common to all approvals: no mechanized equipment shall contact the water, all debris must be removed from the lakeshore protection zone (LPZ), and no materials may be stored or stockpiled within the LPZ. For larger equipment uses, staff noted operations will be limited to low pool when applicable and that equipment staging must meet LPZ standards.
