Weston board appoints full board as interim superintendent search committee after executive session on superintendent's health

The Weston Board of Education met in a special virtual session Monday, March 24, 2025, and after two closed executive sessions to discuss the health of the superintendent, the board voted to appoint the entire board as the personnel search committee to recommend candidates for the acting superintendent position.

The board chair (name not specified) opened the meeting at 5:02 p.m. and said the board would “be going into executive session, to, as you can see by the agenda, discuss, the health of the, superintendent of schools, and then, we are going to discuss in, the appointment of a personnel search committee to recommend candidates for the acting superintendent's position.” After the initial executive session ended, the chair told attendees that “no, no votes were taken, during that session, for everyone's edification.”

When the meeting returned to open session, a board member moved that the full board serve as the search committee for the interim (acting) superintendent, effective March 24, 2025.
