Parole retained for Joshua Livadaze after panel finds incident did not merit revocation

The Committee on Parole reviewed allegations April–May 2025 that Joshua Livadaze had violated supervision conditions after an arrest on March 8, 2025, involving a reported verbal altercation and traffic citations. Livadaze pleaded not guilty to a domestic-abuse battery allegation and admitted to traffic attachments.
Parole officer Jermaine Wilkes told the panel Livadaze had been a model supervisee until the incident and that he works regularly. Witnesses who appeared by phone and in person corroborated Livadaze’s account that the incident arose from a mutual argument after grocery shopping; one witness said the alleged victim tripped over groceries and a steak was thrown during the dispute.
The panel asked about the couple’s plans and Livadaze expressed willingness to participate in counseling. Panel member Pete Freeman said the evidence and witness accounts supported returning Livadaze to supervision rather than revocation; the panel recommended counseling and urged the couple to seek therapy. The panel recorded a vote not to revoke and returned Livadaze to supervision with a stay-away order in place.
