Canton commission accepts police resignation, approves sewer emergency pay application and routine administrative items

Other routine actions approved in the meeting included a first reading to repeal the Celebrate Canton board (at the chamber's request), approval of a raffle request from Saint Dominic's Catholic Church to host monthly bingo with small prizes, declaring up to four office cubicle wall sections as surplus to transfer to another political subdivision under South Dakota Codified Law 6-5-2, and acceptance of the Cantonville Volunteer Fire Department roster so volunteers could be covered by workers' compensation insurance.
