Stacy said the city’s remaining portion would be up to $15,000 to balance the project, and she proposed shifting part of the park budget currently earmarked for curb-and-gutter work to cover the payment schedule so the city could accept the donations now and rebudget curb work for 2026.
Council members asked about electrical needs, customization and whether installation required trenching. Stacy said the vendor confirmed that “we do not need to trench back to the crow's nest. We just need a standard outlet” and that the signage vendor would allow customized logos on the scoreboard and includes donor panels in the quote.
A motion to approve the funding for the new scoreboard at Regent/Legion Field passed on a roll-call vote.
