Council renews annual garbage and recycling licenses with documentation conditions for some vendors

Claire, the finance officer, said city ordinance requires annual applications and a $100 fee to operate as a hauler in Dell Rapids. She told council that RBS, Van Dyke and Novak had paid and submitted required materials; city staff were awaiting Sioux Falls licensing and payment from Bolte and required documentation from Garbage and More and AOK. Staff recommended one motion to approve the licenses subject to those outstanding items being completed.
Councilmember Denise moved to approve the annual licenses with the stated conditions; Councilmember Wendy seconded the motion. The council approved the motion by voice vote.
Staff noted it had contacted each company and expected the missing documentation to arrive.
