Zoning officer reports property cleanups, demolitions and city compost facility opening

The zoning officer said he has located the owner of the vacant lot on Klein Street (site of the previously torn-down house) and has issued a violation concerning black bags and junk-filled trailers on that commercial lot; he will follow up on the owner’s plans for the parked vehicles.
City seasonal services were announced: the City Compost facility will open Friday and operate Friday through Sunday; next week is large-item pickup on regular trash collection days.
