Committee okays forwarding several vendor agreements, amendment and contracts to full board
Summary

Miss Jackson presented an agreement with Highville Charter School and said the district and Highville agreed to an additional $60,000 for the current school year to reflect student enrollment changes. She added the district's policy is to move toward staffing charter placements with district employees rather than ongoing contracts.
Doctor White described a multiyear contract with the Connecticut Association of Performing Arts (noted in the agenda as supporting programming and shared use of the Black Box and main stage at COOP). The committee heard this is year four of a five-year agreement intended to support facility management and programming.
Miss Jackson also presented an amendment to an Allpointe Home Care LLC agreement that covers in-school nursing services for students with individualized education program (IEP) nursing requirements. Staff said an increase in the hourly staffing mix — replacing licensed practical nurses with registered nurses — led to a higher contract cost.
Mister Alleyne presented an award to All American Waste for dumpster-hauling services. The contract was described as not to exceed $45,000 for fiscal year 2025–26. Chief Redish (presenting for security operations) described a renewal with Utility Communications for maintenance of cameras and locking systems; staff emphasized the contract is for maintenance and repair, not for adding cameras.
The committee moved that these abstracts, agreements, amendment, purchase orders and contracts be sent to the full board; the motion passed. Staff said they would supply additional back-up details in full-board materials where needed.
