Madison commissioners approve trails grant application, engineering amendment and multiple public works contracts

The board awarded Bid 972, the 2025 sidewalk improvement project (2025-1), to T and M Concrete LLC of Sioux Falls for $154,861 after staff reported six bids were received and the low bidder was vetted. The commission approved Change Order No. 12 for Northwest Ninth Street and Union Avenue reconstruction (Winter Contracting) reflecting a net increase of $43,877.72 to reconcile final quantities, and approved Change Order No. 4 for Park Creek Walls Improvements (Kesselute Excavation and Dirtwork Services), which reduces the final contract by $70,664.55 after add-ons and a larger final quantity reconciliation.
