Jeanie Rogers community center: staff reported over 100 daily visitors and said the center now hosts daycare partners, Bonner students, fitness programs, after-school activities, and several rentals per week. Planned upgrades include a new parking expansion to the west of the existing lot, repairs to leaking roofs and gym-floor renewal; staff said a commercial kitchen may open after remaining health-department items are completed. Parks staff also described mentoring and internship partnerships with Center College and BCTC and a growing volunteer and Bonner-student support program.
Indoor recreation planning: Parks requested creation of an "indoor recreation" task force with elected officials, county partners and private sponsors to develop location, funding, naming-rights and partnership options for a potential new indoor multiuse facility.
