Planning commission to begin comprehensive-plan review; city updates commission on street-light replacements

In a separate update on street lighting, staff said the city has been receiving replacements and is moving toward LED cobra-head fixtures at roughly 3,000 kelvin (a warmer, amber-toned white). Staff reported they have been getting resident calls about glare and will request shield options and cost estimates from the utility (Duke) as part of next year’s budget considerations.
