Town staff requested authorization for up to $8,000 in additional consultant hours and reproduction costs, explaining most of the expense is for mapping pagination and a modest number of printed copies. The planner said the consultant’s billing rate is $200 per hour for the additional work. Council members approved the extension by voice vote.
Planning staff said the town has not had a state-approved comprehensive plan since February 2009 and that an updated plan will help guide future land use, overlay districts and economic development actions. The planner said changes will be resubmitted to the state within the required 60-day window.
