She said the agency served a high‑need population and urged residents to become volunteers; she also reminded the public that adults in Mississippi are mandatory reporters and encouraged people to save the state’s child‑abuse hotline number.
Rachel Knight, representing Hope Haven Children’s Advocacy Center, described a recent pinwheel ceremony at the county courthouse to mark prevention month and invited supervisors to Hope Haven’s Men Who Cook fundraiser on April 13 at the Jody Compreta Municipal Harbor.
The board signed identical proclamations for the two agencies and allowed photos with representatives of award‑winning local school athletic teams and the advocacy groups.
