Norwalk Fire: Station 1 floor drawings delayed; Station 3 refurbishment complete; overhead doors ordered

Conti said the final cost analysis for Station 4’s building renovation has been completed and was included in the department’s capital funding materials. He praised a vendor named Guardian for continued repairs and support during renovation work.
On overhead doors, Conti said measurements were taken for all commercial station doors; the department intends to order all doors at once and store extras at Station 6’s apparatus maintenance until Station 1’s floor work is complete. Delivery for commercial doors is expected to take several months.
Why it matters: coordinated timing for floors and doors is intended to avoid installing new doors before floor replacement, and the board will receive photos and cost information as projects proceed.
